Our History
Founded in 1967 as the Richardson-Vicks Company, the Greensboro Personal Health Care Facility began operations as the sole producer of Vicks VapoRub. It was acquired by Procter & Gamble in 1985 and has since expanded to support a broader range of personal health care products and innovations. In 2024, Swing Road launched its first Gummies Production Line, marking a major milestone in on-site R&D and manufacturing capabilities. Today, the facility operates exclusively in personal health care, reflecting P&G’s continued commitment to quality, innovation, and consumer well-being.

Advancement

Manufacturing Equipment Owner Technicians go through their own onboarding system, University of Manufacturing, which includes 7-10 weeks of training and on-going mentorship to enable new employees to contribute from Day 1. Training topics include P&G policy, safety, quality, mechanical and electrical systems, autonomous maintenence, and positional training.

P&G Swing Road produces Liquid Vicks Respiratory products (like DayQuil and NyQuil), Pepto-Bismol, and Prilosec. It additionally produces the Original, 10-mg, De-Stress, and Triple Action ZzzQuil Gummies.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO JOIN OUR TEAM?


You must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.

Our plants operate 24/7 and technicians work various rotating shifts to continuously meet consumer demand. Length of work shifts or the rotation schedule can change from time to time, and additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.

Also, this can be a physically demanding job, so you’ll need to be able to lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; use stairs, ladders, and platforms; move freely; enter and work in confined spaces; and stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.

Personal Health Care
Swing Road serves as the global single-site supplier of liquid Pepto Bismol and the single US manufacturing site for respiratory care products. This includes DayQuil, NyQuil, ZzzQuil, and PainQuil. Using groundbreaking technology, we additionally produce the Original, 10-mg, De-Stress, and Triple Action ZzzQuil Gummies. Finally, Swing Road handles packing operations for liquid products and solid-dose medications, including NyQuil and DayQuil LiquiCaps and Tablets, as well as Prilosec.
