Being a Plant Technician
As a technician, you’ll work on a team responsible for keeping production flowing, meeting performance goals, and maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO JOIN OUR TEAM?


You must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.

Our plants operate 24/7 and technicians work 12 hours per day, in a 2-2-3 rotating or non-rotating schedule. Length of work shifts for the rotation schedule can change from time to time, and additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.

Also, this can be a physically demanding job, so you’ll need to be able to lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; work from heights-use stairs, ladders, and platforms; move freely; enter and work in confined spaces; and stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.

FABRIC CARE
P&G plant workers stepped up to meet demands for consumer goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. They could do this with confidence because P&G puts so much emphasis on safety.  The Lima site also introduced the production of hand sanitizer to help lessen the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Lima donated 100% of hand sanitizer produced at our site to support corporate donations such as FEMA and the State of Ohio.  We also ensured that a portion of what we made stayed local to Lima and was distributed to employees and through our partnership with the United Way.

We’re located in a state-of-the-art facility where P&G engineers and plant technicians work together to design and utilize the latest technology to allow our manufacturing plants to produce the highest quality products at optimum production rates.

The Lima plant was built to support the profitability of P&G’s laundry products business. We’re part of a highly responsive supply network. We have installed leading-edge technology for breakthrough productivity and responsiveness. We have strong digital systems to provide the consumer to supplier instantaneous communication that is so critical to synchronization.
