Warehouse Operative (Days - Shipments Co-ordinator)

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is one of the world’s leading companies in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making globally admired brands such as Gillette, Pampers, Fairy and Oral-B. This is an opportunity to be part of a robust and hard-working team delivering P&G’s Point of Sale business at Skelmersdale Distribution Centre.  The role available is on a day’s pattern (7am-3pm).

You will be responsible for coordinating the seamless receipt, manipulation, and dispatch of marketing material and equipment within the timings aligned with our customers. This will require you to develop positive relationships with P&Gs marketing team, ensuring that their needs are clearly understood & met, and all urgent requests are addressed. You will also coordinate with our internal service provider to secure adequate resources for the workload and coordinate with our postage providers & the operations department to guarantee the timely shipping of Point of Sale material. The Point of Sale Shipments Coordinator is also responsible for daily inventory audits and maintaining all appropriate systems / databases to ensure that P&G is compliant with stewardship requirements.

As a P&G employee, you are responsible for ensuring that work is executed safely, with good efficiency and with a constant eye for outages versus the normal standards. You will work with the other Point of Sale Coordinator to manage the department workload in line with these principles and work with the wider team to develop your own capability to as cover for the sister Customisation & Sampling departments.

Qualifications

What we look for:

  • Fork lift truck driving qualification and experience – proven ability to operate safely and with efficiency across reach, counterbalance, and clamp trucks.

  • Capable of developing plans to deliver projects and business across multiple days

  • Demonstrated motivation and commitment to deliver on expectations independently

  • Strong personal accountability & leadership to work as part of a team to execute the daily/weekly/monthly POS orders and highlight any risks to service that arise.

  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with external stakeholders, managing changes to the plan and high pressure situations as they arise

  • Experience working with warehouse management systems or aptitude to learn these systems.

  • Strong Capability with MS Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook and the ability to communicate / share information effectively using these platforms.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with clarity and calmness when under pressure. You’re able to pre-emptively identify barriers to success, involve the right parties and lead the actions to resolve.
