On Menu Hair Care, a dynamic and innovative organization is seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Researcher/Researcher to join our vibrant Hair Care West On Menu team. In this exciting and fast-paced role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our technical readiness for Lock, Launch, and SOP phases:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute well-established test procedures with precision, generating consistent and dependable results as guided by your manager/technical coach.
  • Methodically document and compile experimental data derived from a range of laboratory experiments, collaborating closely with your manager/technical coach.
  • Effectively communicate findings and insights to your manager/technical coach and team members, highlighting any unexpected observations or outcomes.

This role entails active involvement in lab/PRL product development, supporting scale-up validation processes crucial to PRL and Plant scale-up protocols. You will develop a deep understanding of established testing methodologies, process enhancements, process unit operations, equipment utilization, and product components/formulations that significantly influence consumer response.

Furthermore, you will acquire expert proficiency in producing lab and pilot plant products following established protocols. Your role will encompass sample preparation, execution of standard tests encompassing technical performance, physical attributes, and sensory evaluations specific to the category. Rigorous documentation will be integral, as you meticulously uphold established formulas, processes, specifications, and standards. Your contribution will extend to conducting stability testing within established programs, ensuring product excellence over time.

Execute with Excellence: We are looking for someone who loves fast-paced work and can easily pivot to adapt as business challenges arise. Attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills are important for this role. This person should be able to plan, anticipate challenges, act with a sense of urgency, and execute against project objectives with excellence.

Collaboration: This role has high interaction with multiple PS and R&D sub-functions like packaging, process, and PR. We are looking for someone who is dependable, curious, and collaborative, and able to move multiple projects forward in parallel. In certain cases, it may be necessary for the candidate to flow to help with other work across Hair Care regions, allowing the candidate to learn about multiple region dynamics and technologies need.

Innovate for Growth: While this role involves many executional elements, there is a BIG opportunity for creativity. The person in this role could has the opportunity to develop/optimize product making instructions, improve/optimize On menu systems, batch making understanding, etc. that have the potential to be immediately implemented into initiative bundles.

Technical Curiosity: A successful candidate should have an interest in the scientific product making and show the ability to think critically. This person should be interested in working in the lab and pilot plants to make product to support, initiatives, consumer tests, stability placement and technologies development.

Adaptability:

Must be flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the business and projects. This includes evolving business needs; work plans and being able to respond when urgent business needs arise without being overwhelmed. We work in an environment that requires this skill and the ability to manage the inherent challenges that come along with the need to be flexible.

In Touch:

Success in the role requires that the individual is highly connected and tuned in to the latest pilot plant product making, digital systems, lab batch making techniques in the Hair Care category.  As well as the ability to integrate smoothly into a very complex and matrixed organization.
