We’re looking for a highly motivated, flexible Shift Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our Pampers Team in Manchester.
As the E&I Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
The maintenance of electrical equipment and troubleshooting circuit problems including to install, rebuild, commission or repair electrical equipment as needed. Whilst on shift you will be required to assist with all service calls.
Working closely within the operating area you’re assigned to, providing insights into the work team to ensure that business goals are achieved. Proactively assisting operations technicians in troubleshooting and emergency repairs as well as to support and learn Mechanical Maintenance skills and tasks as necessary.
Safety is a priority at P&G. You will be responsible for your personal safety as well as assisting where you can with the safety of other team members and contractors. This includes, ensuring all safety rules and safe work procedures are followed, reporting near misses and maintaining housekeeping.
Productivity and Reliability: you will need to safely troubleshoot issues by reading logic in PLCs and other control equipment, use diagnostic equipment and troubleshoot issues related to production machine coordinated drives. You will also need to maintain the SAP Plan Maintenance System, including following all computer based and paper processes for work order completion and documentation.

Qualifications
Have a minimum time-served apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline to HNC/NVQ-3/NQF3.
Have a high level of personal accountability and ownership for results. Show leadership potential and are not afraid to accept difficult challenges.
Are willing to suggest and implement changes that will improve systems, work processes and equipment reliability.
Are strong team players who possess excellent verbal and written communicated skills that allow cross-shift and function interaction.
