We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Facilities and Utilities Engineer, who will take on the role of Facilities and Utilities maintenance planner at our West Thurrock Manufacturing Site, owning the hard services program at the site and maintaining site safe practices.
Responsibilities:
The role will have two fundamental components:
Day to day multi-discipline engineering activities supporting the site Facilities Manager.
Maintenance, repair and upgrade to general building infrastructure & systems.
The need for both components is crucial to a successful site maintenance program. You will ensure the company standards are met, as well as any UK law requirements. You will have ownership of the planning of end-to-end delivery of large capital and non-capital projects for the site, ensuring that company standards are met, deliver equipment maintenance, fault finding and repair, commissioning of new equipment and general site infrastructure maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensuring all contractors and suppliers provide a cost effective and high-quality service, in accordance with their contractual terms and undertaking tender processes where appropriate.
Ensuring all pre-planned contractor works are undertaken in accordance with P&G processes from arranging quotations through to tasks completion, with appropriate documentation and administration.
Assisting the with permit to work - creation, authorization and closure.
Managing and coordinating capital construction projects from conception to completion.
Budget Management - controlling costs to ensure expenditure is in line with the agreed departmental budget.

Qualifications
Key skills and experience:
Engineering qualifications or relevant experience in building services
Industry knowledge of steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC and electrical systems.
Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of facilities management standards, legislation, and service lines.
Awareness of industry-specific compliance and quality standards
Please note this is a day-based, rather than a shift-based role, you'll generally work 40 hours per week, however there will be occasions when working outside of these hours will be required.
